Not too long ago, one of our clients—a major player in the oil and pipeline business—ran into a significant safety and protection issue concerning their pipelines. Some of their facilities existed on or made use of property belonging to independent landowners. In our client’s case, the landowner had been locked out of his own property one too many times and wanted a change.
